Maureen F. Cogan, 79 of Osterville passed away peacefully on December 25,2022 with her daughter by her side after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife to the late Robert W. Cogan and loving mother to Robyn L. Cogan of Osterville. Beloved sister to Carol Cannon and her husband Arthur Cannon of Woburn, MA, Barbara Connolly and her late husband John Connolly of Canton, MA, Diane Ward and her late husband James Ward of Raynham, MA and she was predeceased by her sister Linda Paretchan and her husband Michael Paretchan, her brother Timothy Prendeville Jr and her parents Timothy and Mary Prendeville. Cherished aunt to Alison Mollica, Ryan Cannon, Mary Cannon, Mary Forget, Julie Kourafas as well as many more nieces and nephews. Maureen worked for over 20 years as the Human Resources Manager at Sears at the Cape Cod Mall. In her retirement, Maureen filled her time with knitting to create beautiful hand knit baby sweaters for her beloved great nieces and great nephews. Maureen was never not knitting and made sure she knit all her loved ones winter hats when she wasn’t creating Christmas stockings on her Etsy shop. Maureen loved her home in Osterville and enjoyed beautiful summer days swimming in her pool. But above all Maureen’s greatest joy was her daughter Robyn and the time they spent together. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Tufts Medical Center especially Dr. Lillian Chen, Dr. Jeremy Weinberger and all the nurses who took care of Maureen over the past week. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Tufts Medical Center – Volunteer Services or if able to donate blood in Maureen’s memory. A private graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
