Visitation will be held 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2022 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville with burial to follow in Colmesneil Cemetery in Colmesneil. Officiating will be Dan Henderson. Serving as pallbearers will be Wyatt Walsh, Cody Walsh, Micah Crews, Charles Bunger, James Broussard, and Scott Eddins. Kayla was born November 25, 1969 to Jimmy and Ruthie Foxworth Crews in Woodville, Texas. A 1988 graduate of Colmesneil High School, she graduated in 1995 from SFA University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology. For the past 10 years she was a licensed Texas property and casualty agent and representative for East Texas Insurance. She enjoyed fishing and playing with her Red Bone dogs. She was a die-hard Cowboy fan and was a member of Colmesneil Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Scalise; grandparents, Harley and Margarete Crews, and E.O. “Pete” and Gladys Cowart Foxworth; and brother, Jerry Allen Crews. She is survived by her parents, Jimmy and Ruthie Crews of Colmesneil; daughter, Katie Lee Scalise of Colmesneil; stepdaughter, Katherine Lynn of Portsmouth, VA; stepson, Aaron Hall of Covington, LA; brother, Jim Crews of Colmesneil; Memorials may be made to Texas Children’s Hospital, P.O.
