Obituary Kathleen M. Czerwinski, 71, of Burlington, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at her home. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 1, 1951, she was the daughter of Alfred and Barbara (nee Gibart) Martinez. Her early life was spent in Milwaukee, where she attended grade school at Pierce St. School and Fratney St. School and graduated from Riverside High School. On September 9, 2000 at Franciscan Missions Center, she was united in marriage to Sylvester Czerwinski. She was a resident of the Burlington area for over 50 years. Kathleen retired as an Assisted Living Coordinator for Society’s Assets. She also worked for Hi-Liter Graphics. She was kind, loving and generous to a fault, and will be truly missed more than any thoughts or words can be expressed. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Sylvester; children, Brett Geerdts, Tracy (David Weber) Geerdts, and Brian (Julia) Geerdts; stepson, Matthew Czerwinski; grandchildren, Devin, Dylan, Dante, and Tristan Geerdts, Nathan and Chloe Weber, Gabriel and Preston Geerdts, and Trinity and Camryn Czerwinski; great grandchild Paisley Geerdts; siblings, Barbara Jean (BJ) Martinez, Merry Christine Lewis and her daughter Sheri Wojciechowski; former daughter-in-law Tara (the late David) Czerwinski; and pups, Mini and Bella. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepson David Czerwinski, and puppies, Patches, Sammy and Cooper. The family would like to thank Burlington Rescue Squad, Burlington Police Dept., Racine Medical Examiner and Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home for their care and compassion during this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carbone Cancer Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Per Kathleen’s wishes, private services will be held for immediate family at a future date.
