Daniel James Benedict, 69, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center. Born May 29, 1953, son of the late Donald J. and Josephine R. (Bush) Benedict, he was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. Daniel was a tradesman, especially using his carpentry skills. He was an outdoor sportsman and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his younger years, he took part in motorcycle racing. Daniel loved his family and he was always present for them, not only at gatherings, but also for coffee time and chats. Daniel is survived by his step-children, Tanya, Brian and Raymond; loving sister, Donna M. Koziol and husband Mitchell, of Chicopee; caring nieces, Kristyn, Angela and Elizabeth; and several great nieces and nephews. Committal services for Daniel will be held Wednesday at 2PM in the chapel of MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam, MA 01101.
