December 23 2022
Harold Nelson of Prescott, AZ went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 23, 2022. Born in Mead, Nebraska, he graduated from Fremont High School in 1957, and married his sweetheart, Jan (Sandau) Nelson October of 1962. Harold was a self taught artist from a young age. God blessed him with the ability to capture life in his paintings and bronze sculptures. The hope of his work was to bring a smile and to touch a sweet memory of the observer and recall something long ago of happier moments, softer, gentler days, and escape to another place and time, if only for a moment. He liked to bring a little beauty back to the world, getting a feeling of really being there, and making the observer aware of beauty by small glimpses most people may fail to notice. Harold is survived by his Wife Jan, Daughter Kirstin (Nelson) Fuller and her Husband Forrest Fuller, Son Jason Nelson and his Wife Elaine Nelson and two Grandchildren, Noah and Emma Nelson. Sister in-law Kas Sandau Baird and husband, Bill, Brothers in-law, Jim Sandau and wife, Carol, Jerry Sandau, and wife, Laurie, and many Nephews, Nieces, Grand-nephews and Grand-Nieces and Cousins. He dearly loved all of them. Harold was preceded in death by his Mother, Dorothy Tank Zaro, Father, Harold Arvid Nelson, Sr. and Brother, Ronald Nelson. Harold believed “When we die, we leave behind all we have and take with us all we are.” Services are pending at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Harold Nelson December 23 2022.
