Obituary Channing G. Williams, Sr., 84, of Richmond, VA, went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet B. Williams; his brothers, Eugene Williams and Earl Williams; and his sister, Peggy Lowe. He is survived by his sister, Virginia Sherrick; his son, Channing G. Williams II; his daughter-in-law, Sandra Coleman; his grandsons, Channing G. Williams III, and Michael C. Williams; and his step-granddaughter, Elizabeth Putzig. Mr. Williams was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served proudly during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech and was an avid golfer and woodworker. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 2, 2023 p.m. 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Bliley’s Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Road, Richmond, where a Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 3rd at 9:00 a.m., followed by a burial at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia Court House, VA.
