Ernest Cormier Jr. (Frenchy), 89, of Houston, Texas, passed away on December 5, 2022. Ernest was born in Rayne, Louisiana on March 3, 1933. He graduated from Rayne High. Ernest was married to Evelyn on September 5, 1953; they were married 69 years. Ernest enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing cards and dominoes with family and friends. Ernest is survived by his wife, Evelyn; three daughters, Bonnie Land and husband Craig, Christine Cormier (Mark Acosta), Suzette Riley and husband James; two sons, Ernie Cormier and wife Lisa, and David Cormier and wife Shannon; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Castillo and husband PeeWee. Ernest is preceded in death by his daughter, Michele Cormier; his parents, Ernest Cormier and Anita Smith; sister, Audrey Bourque; and two brothers, Alton Smith and Houston Smith.
