Obituary David W. Smith, 65, of Warren, Ohio passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022 at his residence. David was born in Warren, Ohio on February 13, 1957, the son of George and Hettie (Terry) Smith. He was a 1975 graduate at Bristol High School. David proudly served our country in the US Army. On August 25, 1982, in Warren David was united in marriage with Jean Edwards. He was employed by Sercurits Security. In his spare time he enjoyed all sports, especially OSU. He was a retired baseball umpire and was active in Veteran support groups. Cherished memories of David will be carried on by his son Ross Griffith Smith, his daughter Rackell (Larry) Ellis of Lake Milton, a sister Laura Marlatt, and a grandchild Austin Ellis. Preceding David in death were his parents, wife, sister Patty Lyons. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, October 25 from 5 to 7 PM at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home where services will be held on Wednesday 26 at 11 AM with Rev. David Merzweiler officiating. He will be laid to rest at Sager Cemetery with Military Honors. .
