Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Cora E. Burrier, of Wilkes-Barre passed away on March 2, 2022 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA. She was born January 14, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre a daughter of the late John and Evelyn Derby Reese. She was a graduate of Coughlin High School and a faithful member of the Parsons Primitive Methodist Church. She was formerly employed for Walters Associates Insurance. Cora enjoyed attending the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins hockey games. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bowman Burrier; sisters, Hazel Reese, Ruth Hartley, Marion Smith; brother, John Reese; son-in-law, John Reese. Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Reese; nephews, Daniel Smith and his wife, Sally, Jack Hartley, great niece and great nephews, cousin, Edna Austin. The funeral will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Services will be conducted by Rev. Andy Jerome, Pastor of Parsons Primitive Methodist Church. Private interment will be held in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Shavertown.
