Daniel’s Obituary Daniel R. Wagner, age 79, of Gibsonia, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 8, 2022. Born on February 27, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late Daniel F. and Margaret Evans Wagner. Beloved husband for 54 years of Marie King Wagner. Loving father of Tammie (Robbie Rodriguez) Holmes and Danielle (John) Mulcahey. Brother of Thomas (Josephine)Wagner and Regina Young. Dear grandfather of Heather (Andrew) Steffish, Holly Holmes, and Ryan Mulcahey. Also survived by one great-granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Steffish. Dan served in the Army and began his family in Gibsonia. After being honorably discharged, he worked as a truck driver and salesman for the same company for over thirty years. Dan’s greatest achievement in life was his home and family- his wife, daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching old Westerns, golfing, tinkering with vehicles, “antiquing”, and driving his golf cart around the neighborhood, bringing joy and laughter to all he met. He struggled valiantly with cancer several times throughout his lifetime, facing his final illness with courage, fortitude and grace. Dan was a dear friend to all who were lucky enough to have known him. He was generous with his time, talents and friendship, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a laugh or joke. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. in Sts. Martha and Mary Parish, St. Richard Church, 3841 Dickey Road, Gibsonia. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Sts. Martha and Mary Parish.
