Charles Thomas Fletcher, Jr., 64, of Shady Valley, TN passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022 at the home of his daughter, Dawn Tester, in Mountain City, TN. He was born in Mountain City, TN on April 21, 1958, a son of the late Charles Thomas Fletcher, Sr. and Iva Lois Manuel Fletcher. He was a resident of Shady Valley, TN and was a member of the Laurel Avenue Church of Christ in Damascus, VA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and gardening. Charles is survived by two daughters, Dawn Tester and her husband, Jeff, and Karen Fletcher; five grandchildren, Jacob Fletcher and his wife, Morgan, Nick Fletcher, Andrew Fletcher, Cailie Tester, and Blake Tester; two great grandchildren, Caden Fletcher and Kynslee Fletcher; two sisters, Denise Fletcher and Vanessa Fletcher; two brothers, Chris Fletcher and his wife, Rosella, and Jeff Fletcher; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at the V.A. Hospital, Amedisys Hospice, and Wayne Baker for all the love and care shown to Charles during his illness. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
