Obituary Mr. Arvil Lawless, age 87, of Dalton, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lela Woods Lawless: brothers, Leonard, Elmer, Richard, and Gordon Lawless: and sister, Helen Casey. Mr. Lawless is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lorene Lawless: son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Greta Lawless: daughter and son-in-law, Brinda and Mike Baker: grandchildren, Jenny and Cody Higdon, Holly Lawless and Fleet Lester, Kyle Lawless, Jesse Baker, Cory and Ashley Baker: great-grandchildren, Garrett Higdon, Whitley Higdon, Emily Lawless, Breanna Baker, Allie Baker, Braxton Baker, Brantley Baker, Jarrett Baker, and Peyton Lester: sister, Evelyn Casey: Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 17, at 3 PM, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Smith and Keith Deal officiating. Interment will be in Serenity Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 5 until 8 PM.
