Loving father of Brigida Sapena of Toms River, Rosemarie Errigo and her husband Marcello of Wayne, Gaetano “Nino” Riccio of Paterson and Marco Riccio and his wife Rosanne of Totowa. Dear grandfather of Adrienne Sapena, Jason Sapena, Gabriella Riccio, Marco Riccio, Marcello Errigo and Gianni Errigo. Great grandfather of Brielle Leidy and Gianna Leidy. Born in Puginello, Prov. di Benevento, Italy, he came to the U.S.A. in 1969 settling in Paterson. He was a Machine Operator for Trio Dyeing & Finishing Co. for many years before retiring in 1998. Mr. Riccio was a parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson. He enjoyed making home made wine and prosciutto. He also enjoyed hunting mushrooms and tending to his vegetable garden. Mr. Riccio was an avid walker. He was a quiet and humble man. He was a fan of World soccer and the Italian team. He enjoyed the Jersey Shore and the ocean and cherished time spent with his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa.
