Obituary Willie James Wilson, 84, of Norwood, died early Thursday morning at Atrium Cabarrus in Concord. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Rev. David Lowe will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Willie was born March 4, 1937 in Chesterfield County, SC to the late Tom and Lula Wilson. Willie proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War with the 7th Cavalry Division and then in Fort Campbell with the 101st Airborne Divisoin. He was a retiree of Collins & Aikman Corporation with 45 years of service and worked for several years with Ritchie Auto Parts. He was an active member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara McIntyre Wilson and brother, Tom Wilson, Jr. He is survived by his brother, Albert Wilson of Norwood and several nieces and nephews.
