Obituary William J. Schmidt, 82, of Willow Grove, PA died peacefully at home on Monday, November 29, 2021. Bill was born at his parents home on September 24, 1939 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Elizabeth and William Schmidt. Bill is survived by his children Deborah L. Stidham (Jim) of Lansdale, Lisa A. Santini (Steve) of North Wales and William T. Schmidt (Megan) of Laurel Springs, brother Robert Schmidt (Mary Ann), former wife Elizabeth Cornell and 7 grandchildren – Kristina, James, Alyssa, Nicole, Jenna, Billy and Connor– as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Judith Reardon. He was a veteran of the US Army and a retired member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union No. 19. He lived for his family and played an active role in all of his grandchildren’s lives. He enjoyed long walks, daily crossword puzzles and was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 10am to 11am at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 Easton Road, Willow Grove PA 19090. Funeral Service at 11am. Interment in Hillside Cemetery.
