Obituary William Gordon Kaglic, 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the North Carolina Veteran’s Home in Kinston. Mr. Kaglic was born in Youngstown, Ohio on February 12, 1933 to the late Michael and Sue Evans Kaglic. He lived his dream proudly serving as a radar technician in the United States Air Force. His valor and skill was recognized with numerous decorations. Following his military career, he worked as a paint foreman with Wayne County Public Schools. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 12:00 noon in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery. Mr. Kaglic is survived by his wife, Nora Howard Kaglic; sons, Don Kaglic of Ohio, Bill Kaglic and wife Lala of Goldsboro, Tom Kaglic of Goldsboro and Tim Kaglic of Newport; daughter-in-law, Lori H. Kaglic; and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ron Kaglic; sisters, Beverly Wyoski and Martha Panda; and brother, John Kaglic. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in his memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
