Obituary Mr. Wayne Bruin Sr., 70, the husband of Fay Mills Bruin, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. Wayne was born in Cynthiana, Kentucky on July 13, 1951. He was the son of the late Ephriam Bruin and the late Bessie Lee Edwards Gooden. Wayne was the former owner of Bruin’s landscaping and he loved owning and restoring vintage cars. He was a U.S. Army Veteran attaining the rank of Sgt. First Class E-7 serving from 1970 -1982. Survivors include his wife: Fay; four children: Brittany Nelson (Justin), Wayne Bruin Jr. (Shannon), Heather Bruin and Julie Bruin; one brother: Garnett Bruin (Susan) of Cynthiana; two sisters: Jan Ransvick of Lexington and Dr. B. J. Blangsted (Brian) of Arizona; two sisters-in-law: Reaba Whitaker and Diane Bruin; six grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:30 PM Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County. The family will receive visitors beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
