Obituary Walter H. Fahringer, 74, of Chester Springs, PA, passed away August 29, 2021. Born April 1, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late William Albert and Gertrude (nee Riggs) Fahringer. Walt was an avid sports fan and rooted for all Philadelphia teams, Penn State Football, and Villanova Basketball. He was also a NASCAR enthusiast. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ellen (nee Cartagno) Fahringer; loving father of James Fahringer (Kerri), Mark Fahringer (Alexandria), Steven Fahringer, and Michael Gemma; adoring grandfather of Dominik, Dainius, Alysa, Owen, Melissa, Megan, and Michael; dear brother of Trudy Dutkiewicz (the late Tony), Carol Haugh (the late Jerry), Phyllis Lafferty (Doug), Sonny Fahringer (Ellie), and Butch Fahringer (the late Barbara). Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, 120 St. Elizabeth Drive, Chester Springs, PA 19425. Interment is Private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Pennsylvania, 350 East Erie Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19134.
