Thelma Jo Towe, 85, of 120 Autumnwood Lane, Walhalla, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021, at AnMed Health Medical Center. A native of Dahlonega, GA, Mrs. Towe was the daughter of the late Dewey Smith and Madge Rider Newberry. She worked at Ingles Grocery Store and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Towe is survived by her sons: Duayne Stewart (Denise) of West Union, SC, Tommy Towe (Martha) of Murrayville, GA and Joseph Towe (Li) of Mount Airy, GA; sister: Lynn Holder of Cleveland, TN; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law: Aileen Collins of Walhalla, SC; and special nieces: Tammy Baumgarner of West Union, SC, Paula Grogan (Greg) of West Union, SC and Karen Baumgarner of Walhalla, SC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Towe was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Golden Corner Church with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from, 10:00-11:00 AM, Thursday, prior to the service, at Golden Corner Church. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Golden Corner Church, P.O.
