Scott Davis December 10, 1968 – July 19, 2021 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook OPELOUSAS ~ Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lafayette (1100 Lee Ave, Lafayette, LA 70501) for Richard Scott Davis, age 52, who passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at Opelousas General Health System. Pastor James Pritchard and Deacon Josh Proffitt of First Baptist Church in Lafayette will officiate at the services. Mr. Davis was a native of Texas and a resident of Opelousas. He was employed as a school administrator at many schools at the college level with Westminster Christian Academy being his most current school, where he was also the track and field/cross country coach. He attended the First Baptist Church of Lafayette. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Michelle Davis of Opelousas; two sons, Daxton Davis and his wife, Rachel, of Fort Worth and Devin Davis of Plainview, Texas; one daughter, Ellisyn Davis of Opelousas; his parents, Richard Davis and the former Patricia Henry; and one sister, Karie Levell and her husband, Anthony, of Wichita Falls, Texas. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at First Baptist Church in Lafayette (1100 Lee Ave, Lafayette, LA 70501) from 10:45 a.m. Thursday until service time on Thursday at First Baptist Church in Lafayette.
