Sherman Roger Boyd,76, widower of Barbara Boyd, passed away October 23, 2021. A native of Raven, VA, son of the late John Robert and Annie Bell Sharp Boyd, he was a retired truck driver. Surviving are a special friend, Angela Rhymer of Forest City, NC; one step-daughter, Suzanne Lisak of Oaklawn, IL; two sisters, Dorothy Metz of Racine, WI; and Linda Julian of Campobello, SC; five brothers, Harold Boyd of Conestee, SC; Eddie Boyd of Greer, SC; Darrell Boyd of Greer, SC; Granton Boyd of Pounding Mill, VA; Timmy Boyd of Greer, SC; two grandchildren, Steven Lisak and Brittany Lisak. Mr. Boyd was predeceased by one brother, Perry Boyd; one sister, Mary Reynolds and one granddaughter, Amanda Lisak. A visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at The Wood Mortuary. Interment will follow at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. The family will be at their respective homes.
