Obituary Robert Wheeler was born January 13, 1935 to the late Louis C. Wheeler and Adell (Berry) Wheeler. On February 15, 2021, he gained his heavenly wings at the blessed age of 86. He was retired from the City of Akron with 40 years of dedicated service and also served and was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp. He was well know and loved by many. Preceded in death by brothers, Richard “Sonny” Wheeler and Clinton Wheeler, he is survived by brothers, James Wheeler and Harry Wheeler; nephews, Darnell, Craig and Derek Wheeler; niece, Maureen Gary; God-Family, John and Glenda Sugg and their children, Lisa, Barbie and Jody and other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 25, 202, 10:30 AM at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave, Akron, OH 44306, where friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. MASKS MUST BE WORN TO ATTEND. Condolences may be sent to the family c/o Rhoden Memorial Home.
