Richard Lopez, Jr. 45, of Bryan, Texas passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 1, 2021. A public visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM followed by a Celebration of His Life at 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 11th in the chapel at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell. The family is honored to have Mary Lou Adame as the officiant. Richard Lopez, Jr, aka “Pito” was born in Bryan, Texas on February 23, 1976, to Richard and Betty (Ortega) Garcia. He was one of seven siblings. Richard graduated from Caldwell High School in 1994. He was known for his big heart and his love for pit bulls and roosters. Richard’s priority was always his family. His two children, Richard and Madalyn were the loves of his life. He never met a stranger and will always be known for his loyalty in friendships. Richard is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his daughter Madalyn Petra Lopez, his son Richard Andrew Dane Lopez, step-father, Juan Garcia, Jr. his brothers, John Garcia, III and his wife Jennifer, Randall Garcia and his wife Megan; sisters, Diane Andrus, Michelle Espinoza and her husband Mario, Laura Aldycki and Erica Garcia.
