Richard Foppiano, 90, of Jupiter, Florida passed away at his home on December 21, 2021 after a brave battle with brain cancer. Born in Everett, MA, he was a resident of Jupiter for 34 years, coming from Miami, Florida. Mr. Foppiano was a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church. Richard proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the Army and fought in the Korean War. He was awarded two Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. Richard was a firefighter for Metro Dade County for 25 years. Survivors include one son, Douglas (Candace) Foppiano of Homosassa, Florida; two daughters, Karen (Joe) Raymer of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Jan (Jeff) O’Halloran of Jupiter, Florida; two sisters, Marie Chetwynde of Salem, NH and Jean Walsh of Lawrence, MA; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine, his son Eric, his brother Chuck and sister Ruth. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm on January 6th at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home 250 Center St. Jupiter, Florida 33458 A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 on January 7th at St. Jude’s Catholic Church 204 U.S. Highway One Tequesta, Florida 33469. Burial January 7th at Riverside Memorial Park 19351 SE County Line Rd. Tequesta, Florida 33469.
