Ralph Smith August 13, 1941 – December 6, 2021 Share this obituary Send Flowers Upload Photo| Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Ralph Smith, 80, of Woodville, passed away, Monday, December 6, 2021 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville beginning at 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery near Woodville. Officiating will be Brother Alex Rawls. Ralph was born August 13, 1941 to Sanford Alexander, Sr. and Mary Ada Monic Smith in Woodville, Texas. A lifelong resident of Tyler County, he was a graduate of the old Kirby High School in Woodville. He retired as a pipefitter with Local #798 out of Tulsa, OK. Ralph was a U.S. Army veteran and he believed in treating others well. He was preceded in death by his parents, S.A., Sr. and Mary Ada “Mama” Smith; wife, Doris Jeanne Smith; brothers, James Smith, Leroy Smith, Paul Smith and S.A. Smith, Jr.; sisters, Bernice Rawls and Ina Mae Roach. He is survived by his son, Randy Smith of Beaumont; daughter, Kellie Smith of Kountze; grandchildren, Derek Smith and wife Ashley, Whitney Williams, Claire Williams and Gus Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice. Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
