Peter J. DeCasperis, 20, of Suffield, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in a tragic car accident. Born in Hartford, CT on September 7, 2000, he was the son of James and Cynthia (Morrone) DeCasperis and was a lifelong resident of Suffield. He attended Suffield public schools and after graduation, pursued his passion of cooking, most recently working as a Sous Chef for Uno’s Pizzeria in Holyoke. His passion for cooking was shared with his family and he loved making them new and delicious dishes. Peter enjoyed shopping for food with his mother, loved to be out on the water fishing with his dad, brother and grandfather, being a big brother to his sister and the time he spent in Oxford, MD with Rosemary Wahler and Tom Mullen. Peter was a devoted son, loving brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to so many who will cherish the time they had with him, albeit too short. Besides his parents James and Cynthia DeCasperis of Suffield; he leaves his brother and sister, John and Kristen DeCasperis of Suffield; his grandfather Alphonse Morrone, Jr. of Wethersfield; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his best friends, John, Alan, Jordan, Travis and his girlfriend Bobbie. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Therese Morrone, and his paternal grandparents, Anthony and Dora DeCasperis. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, January 18, at 11:00 AM DIRECTLY at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 52 South Elm St., Windsor Locks. MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED IN THE CHURCH AND ATTENDANCE WILL BE LIMITED TO 100 PEOPLE TO ADHERE TO STATE GUIDELINES. Burial will be private.
