Obituary Patricia Newton 87, of Washington, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 2, 2021. She was born in Indianapolis on June 6, 1934 to the late Catherine B. McCain Birl and William Birl. Patricia was very active in her church, Bethel North United Methodist Church; she sang in the choir, took attendance; and was active in various other church activities. Patricia enjoyed; crocheting and made afgans for all the senior girls on the Washington Hatchets Girl’s Basket Ball Team. In her free time Patricia also was fond of driving the Amish to and from job sites and become very close friends with many of them. She was a member of group Retired from Washington Community School Corp and cherished her time with her friends with in that group. Above all else, Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by; children, Rick Newton (Susie), Aaron Glenn Newton Jr. (Sandy), and Karen Helms (Terry); eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Oma Buckner. She was preceded by; her parents; husband, Glenn A. Newton; and a brother, Larry Birl. There will be a visitation held at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a service following on Monday, December 6, 2021. at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Roy Ice officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.gillsince1872.com.
