Obituary Hazelhurst, Nora Renae Martin, 53. “Reny” as she was so lovenly called by her parents, “Nae Nae” by her niece and childhood friends, and “Nanna” by her beloved grandson, passed away Saturday night 11-13-2021 in a Fort Worth Hospital where she had been fighting for her life since Wednesday night due to a medical emergency. She is at peace now and will be greatly missed by all who loved her and knew of all the obstacles that were put in her path as she had overcome the toughest of times the last 28 years. Renae was born 11-7-1968 at the Old Campbell Memorial Hospital on North Main St. in Weatherford Texas. It snowed that morning as she made her arrival as her Daddy always loved to remind her on every birthday. She was a graduate of Millsap High School. Married James Hazelhurst in 1986 as she was working at a local nursing home helping take care of those that needed help, and she loved everyone she ever took care of. Then later she worked at Trinity Meadows Racetrack as an outside Line Supervisor, a job she truly loved until cancer took all her hopes of ever working again away. She managed to raise two precious sons through all her hardships and was so blessed to watch her adored grandson grow before her eyes. Renae was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents: Boots and Estell Mullis Martin, Robert and Wanda Russell Wilson, and her Father: Charles Eddreth Martin. She is survived by her Mother: Betty Wilson Martin, her two sons: Charles James “CJ” (Stephanie) Hazelhurst, Robert Joseph “Joey” Hazelhurst Sr., grandson: Robert Joseph “RJ” Hazelhurst Jr., Sister: Tammy Dawn Martin Payne (Gene), and her precious Niece: Sydney Estell Payne., and Special Friend: Wesley Holder and his son, Isaiah Holder.
