Nancy Jolene Jurgensen was born August 1, 1950 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Elmer and Alta (Buckingham) Krasser, and went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln at the age of 71. Nancy attended Beaver Crossing Public School through 11th grade, during which time she was honored to be selected as Grange Princess. She later became a 1968 graduate of Centennial High School in Utica. While at college in Lincoln, Nancy was introduced to David Jurgensen of Cordova whom she had never met despite having grown up only 5 miles apart. The two were eventually united in marriage on December 20, 1970 at the Methodist Church in Beaver Crossing. In May of 1973, they graduated together from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, with Nancy earning a degree in Home Economics. They moved to their farm near Cordova in 1973 and to their union two sons were born, Mark and Paul. Nancy was a loving wife and companion who enjoyed helping on the family farm, especially the planting and harvesting, traveling with Dave, and simple evenings at home together. In addition to raising her boys, Nancy was involved with bowling, was a Cub Scout leader, served on the Seward County FSA Board, enjoyed bird watching, working in the garden growing flowers and was an avid reader. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Cordova where she remained very active. Another activity she had a passion for was scrapbooking. This was an activity she enjoyed but will also serve as a long and lasting legacy that communicates the love and pride she had for her family. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, David, Cordova; Mark and Jennifer Jurgensen, Plainview, MN, Paul and Amy Jurgensen, Cordova, 6 grandchildren, Christian Timm, Emily, Timothy and James Jurgensen, all of Plainview, MN, Levi and Lynn Jurgensen, Cordova, sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Lippstreu, Columbus, Cynthia and Leonard Raabe, Pilger, sister-in-law, Pat Billings, Plattsmouth, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
