Nancy Hawley, 86, of Salem, Illinois passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 cared for by her loving family. Born September 17, 1934 in Centralia, IL, she was the daughter of Arthur Francis and Beulah “Fern” (Raines) Mobley. She united in marriage with Howard Martin Hawley, June 29, 1951 in Centralia and he survives in Salem. They were looking forward to celebrating seventy years of marriage in June. Together with her husband, she owned Hawley’s Antiques and Antenna Service in Salem. A lady of faith with a meek, humble and servant Spirit, she was a faithful member of First Apostolic Church in Centralia. A faithful servant of God, she served along with her husband as youth leaders for forty plus years, played the piano for fifty plus years at the Salem Pentecostal Church and loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved to cook and share food with everyone, and was especially known for her chili. She dearly loved her family and spending time together. Surviving is her husband Howard of Salem, along with her children Greg (Janeen) Hawley of Salem, Lloyd (Almayna) Hawley of Iuka, and Cheri (Paul) Polanski of Salem. Also her loving grandchildren, Lacey (Ken) Hight of Canton, GA, Chad (Sara) Hawley of Salem, IL, Blaine Hawley of Belleville, IL, Andrea (Sam) Zukerman Virginia Beach, VA, Aaron Hawley of Salem, IL, Adam (Kerri) Hawley of Wamac, IL, Austin Hawley. Altamont, IL, Devin (Christina) Polanski of Salem, IL, and Cymber (Cody) Miller of Effingham, IL. She was great grandmother to Kaetlyn, Keira, Jackson, Emma, Addison, Amelia, Barrett, Aubree, Abigail, Madilyn, Ryan, Sophie, Elijah, Benjamin, Bowen, Brooklyn, and great great grandmother to Mae. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Tom, Fred, Lance Mobley, and a brother Charles Mobley a war casualty in France during W.W. II. Also one sister, Norma Arlene Mobley. She is also preceded in death by half-siblings Paul Mobley, Cassie Harper and Earl Mobley. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday at the First Apostolic Church in Centralia with Pastor Jon Urshan officiating, assisted by Rev. Mike Durre. Visiting hours will be from 9:00 am until the service hour at the church. Burial will follow at the East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. It will be important to wear a mask, and practice social distancing in accordance with the CDC and State of Illinois Phase 4 Revitalization. The family suggest memorials be made to the First Apostolic Church in Centralia and will be accepted by the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home, 310 N. Broadway P.O.
