Michael W. Santon, age 87, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loved ones on November 4, 2021. Michael was born in South Euclid on July 17, 1934 to Charles and Sandra Santon (both deceased). Mike was an active Alcoholics Anonymous member for over 40 years, where his experience, strength and hope helped many on their road of recovery. He sat on the board of the Dr. Bob’s Home Foundation in Akron and was a co-founder of the “Our Cause” AA Group. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. Mike was a retired Cleveland Police Detective for over 25 years, and then moved into the employee assistant unit. He spent his life helping others. He was also a member of the Collinwood Memories Club and he also enjoyed a good game of chance. Mike will be remembered for bringing joy and laughter to everyone, especially his always ending with Badda bing… Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, who will be greatly missed. He is survived by loving wife of 61 years, Beverly A. Santon (Sabetta). his children, Carla (John) Rossi-Leibnitzer and Denise (Michael) Lester, his grandchildren, Nicki Rossi, Michael Rossi, Gina Leibnitzer, Samantha (Leon) Phillips, Vince Lester, his great granddaughter, Charlee Phillips and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his twin sons, step-father, Santo Fichera, and his brothers, James and Chuck Santon. Visitation will be held November 11, 2021, Thursday from 3- 7 pm at Monreal Srnick Funerals & Cremations, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Mike worked with me in the CPD stress unit (E.A.U.)He helped hundereds of officers and families. Mike was always available if someone needed help. We attended Rutgers University
and graduated from their Alcohol and Drug program. Mike was funny and caring. you could always depend on him. HE CARED.
