Porter, age 64 passed into eternal rest on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a native of Bulloch County, a graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and a former employee of Carroll, Carroll and Shuman Asphalt Company Savannah, GA. He is survived by a daughter, Angela Porter, Atlanta, GA; a son, Jamie Porter (Erica), Statesboro, GA; a devoted and loving ex-wife and mother of his two children, Annie L. Porter, Brooklet, GA; three sisters, LeeBertha Porter and Priscilla Porter both of Nevils, GA and Gloria Booker (Derrick), Metter, GA; three brothers, Clinton Porter (Christine), Nevils, GA ; Carlise Porter (Robbie) and Albert Portal both of Statesboro, GA ; four grandchildren, Jada, Lauren, Elijah and Howard Porter and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service for Mr. Porter will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the James R. Barnes Mortuary Chapel. All CDC mandates will be adheared.
