Krejcarek, age 63, of Manitowoc, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at home with family by his side after a 13 year battle with stage 4 cancer. He was born on September 29, 1958 in Manitowoc, son of the late Melvin and Marcella (Seidl) Krejcarek. Mark was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1977. On June 1, 1985, he married the former JoAnn Schmit at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. His enjoyment of trains and traveling, led him to a career of over 30 years with the Chicago & NorthWestern and Union Pacific railroads, working various positions from depot agent to conductor. He was a member of the Silver Creek Volunteer Fire Department for 31 years. He also loved to fix things, and enjoyed volunteering at the St. Vincent de Paul Store. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, JoAnn Krejcarek; daughter Kimberly Krejcarek of Green Bay; son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Teresa Krejcarek of Wauwatosa and their newborn son Cooper. He is further survived by one sister, Meribeth (John) Roeser of Green Bay; one brother, Kevin (Chimi) Krejcarek of Japan; two sisters-in-law, Jean (Robert) Vandenbusch of Gresham; Patricia (Mark) Vondrasek of Belvidere, Illinois; and one brother-in-law, John Schmit of Francis Creek and his special friend Lisa Fuerbringer; also nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Ray and Margie Schmit. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 8100 Brunner Road, Newton. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Beaudry. The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until the time of the prayer service led by Deacon Steve Zimmer at 6:30 p.m. The visitation will continue on Friday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Committal services and burial will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery in Francis Creek on Friday at 3 p.m. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
