Margarita Cardenas Pinto of Teaneck and formerly of Paramus, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Monday, December 27, 2021. Margarita was born in Girardot, Colombia and came to the United States in 1962. Margarita was a trailblazer, becoming a successful businesswoman in an age when it was uncommon. She is survived by her son; Luis and his wife Janice (nee Greco), daughter-in-law; Clara (nee Gomez), her adoring grandchildren; Daniel, David, Philip and Nicholas, and many other relatives and friends back in Colombia. She was predeceased by her son Philip. Family and friends are invited to visit at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 10AM to 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anastasia’s Roman Catholic Church at 12:15 PM. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Margarita Pinto would be appreciated.
