Obituary Margaret “Margie” (Carey) Huey, 68, of Apollo, formerly of Panama City, FL, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Born February 25, 1953 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Ellsworth Edward Carey & Eileen (Rebel) Carey. Margie was a graduate of Shaler High School, and worked at various dry cleaners, including Rupert’s Cleaners and Owl Cleaners) for 50 years, retiring in October of 2018. She was a volunteer and former member of the Board at the Armstrong County Office Of Aging. Margie lived in Panama City, Florida for 30 years, and loved spending time with her best friends there, Cindy & Rupert Brown, and their daughter Braylee. She enjoyed embroidering, playing cards, and spending time with her extended family. Margie liked volunteering her time and donating to many charities, especially anything to benefit veterans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Patrick “Butch” Henry, who passed away on July 13, 2007; and a nephew, James Stephens. Margie is survived by her brothers, Robert “Buddy” (Frances) Carey of Panama City, FL, Michael “Mickey” (Vicky) Carey of Houston, TX; sister, Norma (James) Sandrovich of Apollo; nephews, Richard (Michelle) Stephens of Kiski Township, Michael Carey, Jr. of Houston, TX; nieces, Sandra Nowikowski of Apollo, Aimee Kennedy of Virginia, Ashley Smith of Houston, TX; and many great nephews and nieces, including Landon Clark, who Margie adored. At Margie’s request, all services are private, and have been entrusted to the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Apollo.
