Kittery, ME – Lynda Loretta (Borey) Joyce of Kittery, ME died Wednesday November 17th, 2021, suddenly, but at peace. Born in Gardner Massachusetts, 9/12/40, Lynda is survived by her children, Karen Habegger of Watertown, CT, Chase Rogers and his wife Joanne of Boynton Beach, FL, Dr. Jeffrey Rogers and his partner Carly Taylor of Rye, NH, Cheryl Rogers of Naples, FL and her sister, JoAnne Davidson of Hampton, NH. Lynda’s grandchildren; Alexander and Nathaniel Duff, Emily Barry, Nathaniel Habegger, Jacob Habegger, Chase Jr, Harrison, and Jennifer Rogers and her great grandchildren, Keira and Shawn Barry. As well as several nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends that all loved her very much. Lynda devoted her life to caring for others and also leaves behind many children that she nannied for and loved as her own. Lynda is predeceased by her parents; Leon Borey, and Jessie Vera Whitley, her sister Janet Smith and nephew Mark Thomas. Lynda lived a rich full life starting her career at Life Magazine at the young age of 19; which she recalled fondly as a real “Mad Men” experience. She modeled, traveled the country, and in 1976 settled in Marco Island, FL, where she raised her children and became the heartbeat of that small vibrant island. Lynda loved spending time with her family, friends, she loved all children and animals. She could cook anything, always lit up a room when she walked in with her big bright smile, an incredible sense of humor and infectious laugh; Lynda had an aphorism for almost any situation. Everyone that met Lynda loved her instantly and she will be dearly missed. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton, NH. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at 1 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
