Obituary Lucy Heranic, 92, of Hopewell Twp., Aliquippa, PA, peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021, Christmas Day, at Wexford Healthcare Center in Wexford, PA. Born on March 27, 1929 and raised in the Logstown section of Aliquippa, she was the beloved daughter of the late Teresa (Buratti) and Giuseppe Baghetti. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Heranic; her cherished brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank (Anna) and Dominick (Mary) Baghetti; and her oldest nephew, Joseph Baghetti, Senior. She is lovingly remembered by her two sons, John Michael (Judy) and Randy (Mag) Heranic, and her daughter, Eva-Jo (David) Roussos, all in the Pittsburgh area. She held a special place in the hearts of many people, especially her Godchild, Justine (Waida) Holben and her husband, Donald, in Hamburg, NY. Lucy was beloved by many neighbors, both in Aliquippa, and Crafton where she most recently resided with her daughter Eva-Jo, plus many long-time friends of the family, including being a “Special Angel” to Louise (Jimmy) Whedbee, Orlando, FL. In addition, all of her nephews and nieces who loved her dearly will always remember her gentle, generous, kind and thoughtful nature: Joseph (Arlene) Baghetti, son Joseph (Amy) Baghetti, both in Tennessee, son Adam (Laura) Baghetti, their daughter Zahava, sons Arlo and Eli in Massachusetts, and daughter, Lauren (Matt) Crum in Tennessee, Frank (Sue) Baghetti, daughter Marcella (Rob) Chapados, and their 2 children, Dominic and Maia and daughter Danielle (Travis) Barnes, in Colorado and Kentucky and Washington, Terri (William – deceased) Harmon, son William (Nicole) Harmon, and their 2 sons Dominick and Rocco, daughter Cassie Harmon, all in Aliquippa, Sandy Baghetti, Aliquippa, Nadia (Giorgio – deceased) Buratti, daughter Roberta (Vincenzo) Iacuzio, and their daughter, Berenice Papi, and Nadia’s son, Leonardo (Elizabetta) Iacuzio, all in Rome, Italy. Further, and most importantly to Lucy, her Grandchildren and Greatgrandchildren, whom she loved beyond words, “up the sky and back again,” Tracy (Denis) Heranic, Montreal, Canada, John Jarvis (Jessie) Heranic and their daughters Lucy and Grace, Pittsburgh, and Steve (Chelsea) Heranic, Orlando, FL, Jordon (Krista) Roussos and their son, Camden, Jacqueline Roussos, Julia Roussos, Pittsburgh, Mackenzie (Alex) Heranic, Mitchell Heranic and Mallory Heranic, Aliquippa. Friends will be received Wednesday, Dec 29, 2021, from 3PM to 7PM at Tatalovich Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA, 15001, where a service will be held on Thursday, Dec 30, 2021, at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St Titus Catholic Church, 953 Franklin Ave, Aliquippa. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 2186 Brodhead Rd, Hopewell Twp. In lieu of flowers, please make any memorial contributions to local Food Banks, keeping in tune with Lucy’s compassion to feed and comfort EVERYONE at ALL TIMES. Lucy was loved by everyone who knew her, even the most casual acquaintances. Her love and kindness knew no bounds. She was a woman to look up to and learn from. And she was fun and wonderful to be with. We will all grieve her passing, but we will also smile and laugh and feel her love remembering her.
