Obituary Lorine Latimer 97, of Riley Township, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Advantage Living Center, Armada. She was born in Evarts, Kentucky, April 16, 1924, the daughter of the late Gent and Ossie (McClinda) Madden. Her marriage to Robert James Latimer was May 8, 1946. Robert passed away August 30, 2020. Lorine had attended Memphis Free Methodist Church and Columbus Baptist Church. She lost her mother when she was young and took over the duties of the household and helped raise her siblings. Lorine worked with the World War II war effort on an assembly line soldering electronic instrumentations. Afterwards, Lorine and her husband bought a farm where she helped raise cattle, hogs, and grow crops. She liked canning produce and storing them in her Michigan basement. Surviving are two sons, Jim Latimer of Riley Township and Bill Latimer of Casco Township; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Smith “Smitty” Madden of Dayton, Ohio, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by three children, Linda Latimer (1965), Thomas “Ed” Latimer (2020), and Mark Latimer (2002) and seven siblings, Dixie Shephard, Elsie Reid, Caner Madden, Duard Madden, Denver Madden, Ted Madden, and Marie Fender.
