LeRay’s Obituary LeRay W. Carl, 83, of Platteville, Wisconsin, died on Friday, June 11, 2021 at his home. Per LeRay’s wishes, there will be no formal services. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family. Memorials may be made to the LeRay W. Carl Memorial Fund, which can be mailed to the funeral home at PO Box 245, Platteville, WI 53818. Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com. LeRay was born in Platteville, WI, on February 4, 1938, the son of Arthur and Helen (Bierman) Carl. He graduated from Platteville High School in 1955. Shortly after high school, LeRay got drafted into the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Cynthia M. “Cindy” Brown on November 19, 1965 in Johnson City, Tennessee. LeRay enjoyed spending time with his two sons, whether it be playing ball or going fishing. LeRay is survived by his wife, Cindy; son, Mark Carl, and his children, Kennedy McMillan, Austin Carl, Alayna Carl, and Ethan Carl; son, Patrick Carl, and his children, Dominique and Daniel Carl; sisters-in-law, Ruth Carl, Cheryl Arrowood, Paula Renee Brown; and brother-in-law, Monty (Diane) Brown.
