Obituary Leo Russell Reichard, Beloved Husband of 64 years to Kathleen Reichard (nee Deighan); loving father of Mark (Michele), Suzanne Brown (David) and Patricianne Ruccella. Dearest grandfather (GD) of Jenifere Singleton (Kevin), Kristen Allison (Ryan), Brittany Bosch (Paul), Jacob (Taylor), Dominic Ruccella (Julie), Anna Lierman (Brendan), Isabelle Ruccella, Joseph Ruccella, and Poppa to Kristina Brown. Great-grandfather to Mia and Sophia Singleton, Ryan, Ben, and Annabelle Allison, Theo and Huck Reichard, Luke Lierman, Leo, Isaac, and Beau Bosch, Lily and Chloe Kazma and Penny Ruccella. Cherished son of the late Regina and Russell Reichard, and brother of Thomas (Linda), and William (Patricia) Reichard, and Jeanne Ann Niklas (Mel) of Naperville, Illinois. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School, St. Charles College, attended St. Mary’s Seminary, and graduated from Youngstown University. He attended Western Reserve Graduate School. He retired in 1991 as Vice President-General Manager of Ohio Bell Telephone Company, having worked for 35 years in Youngstown, Akron, Columbus and Cleveland, and for the AT&T Company. Following his career at Ohio Bell he served as Assistant to the President of St. Ignatius High School 1991-2005 and in 2001 he was the recipient of the school’s Magis Award for his outstanding leadership and service to the school. He was a member of the Board of Marymount Hospital, Cleveland Opera, Cleveland Scholarship Programs, St. Ignatius High School, and St. Martin du Porres High School, of which he was a founding member. He is a former member of Lakewood and Westwood Country Clubs. He was a devoted volunteer at the Westside Catholic Center and enjoyed serving as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Bernadette Church. He was an avid golfer and racquetball player. However, there is nothing he enjoyed more than vacationing in Stone Harbor, New Jersey with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren for more than 43 years. He was a competitive man who loved playing cards, Yahtzee, and Bocce Ball. He could always be counted on to be in attendance at dance recitals, athletic events, graduations, and ceremonies. Funeral Mass, St. Bernadette Church, 2256 Clague Rd., Westlake, Friday, December 31st at 11 AM (EVERYONE MEET AT CHURCH). Mass will be live-streamed on church website at saintbernadetteparish.org/.
