Obituary Durham: Leo Martin, 56, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Duke University Hospital, in the company of family and friends. He was born in Durham, the son of the late Leo Martin Sr. and Christine Buck Martin. He graduated from Durham Technical Community College and worked in IT with the NCDOT/NCDIT for over 20 years. Leo was known for his generous spirit and kindness. He was always ready to offer a helping hand to anyone in need, stranger or friend alike. He was also known for his sense of humor and quick wit, trading jokes and puns with friends. He was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and enjoyed the chance to be a witness on several mission trips. Mr. Martin is survived by his sister, Sharyn Renae Martin. No service will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Baptists on Mission: PO Box 1107, Cary, NC 27512.
