Obituary Kay Jo-Ann Finnegan November 16,1938-December 9,2021 Kay Jo-Ann Finnegan was taken home peacefully to be with the Lord and her late husband Lowell on Dec 9, 2021 .Her husband had recently passed in September and she missed him dearly.They had been married for nearly 64 years. Kay and Lowell were married on Sept. 14,1957 in Wyandotte ,Michigan. They have 3 children Scott (Betty) Finnegan of Stayton, Oregon. Wendi (Terry ) Kamlade of Jefferson ,Oregon and Brian Finnegan of Lapeer, Michigan. They have 3 grandchildren Brandy (Jeremy) Mosher of Flint, Mi. ,Zach (Darci) Hagemeister of Redmond, Oregon and Luke (Kristen) Hagemeister of Lebanon,Oregon. They were blessed with 7 great grandchildren Gabriel & Jacob Mosher, Brezlyn, Jax,Cru and Gage & Laith Hagemeister. Kay retired from Lapeer Regional Hospital in 1996 after 25 yrs of service. She was active in Tops Club 667 since 1969 where she held various offices. She bowled for many years with a team where they won the city championship in 1998. She was also a member of the Red Hatters of Peppermill. She was an avid quilter with many family members receiving her works of art. She loved Christmas, baking her famous cookies and passing them out to family and friends. But most of all she loved being with family. She spent many dedicated hours sitting on bleachers watching her beloved grandsons play sports and was their biggest cheerleader. They loved her dearly and also her cooking when she came to visit. Mom, you will be missed and I am so glad we got to spend these last few months together talking and laughing through this tough time. I will cherish that time together I love you so much. Wendi In accordance with Kay’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Kay’s cremains will be buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lapeer.
