Obituary Kathleen A. McPherson, 68, of Westborough, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the UMass/Memorial Healthcare-University Hospital in Worcester. She was the wife of Russell L. McPherson celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary last month. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Marjorie (Giffin) McDonald. She was educated in Westborough schools and was a 1971 graduate of Westborough High School. Kathleen was employed as a transportation manager for First Student with whom she was employed with for 37 years prior to her retirement. Previously she worked for Dodd and Tyler Bus Company. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Denise A. Montgomery of Blackstone, Ian C. McPherson and his wife, Susan Berman, of Newton, James R. McPherson of N. Grafton and Kristen E. Fisher and her husband, Michael, of Palantine, Illinois; three brothers, Bernard McDonald, Jack McDonald and James McDonald; two sisters, Karen Varielli and Theresa Hoogendoorn; five grandchildren, Matthew Montgomery, Casey Montgomery, Jacob McPherson, Addison Fisher and Olivia McPherson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Thomas McDonald. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, at 11:00 A.M. in Pine Grove Cemetery, South St., Westborough. Calling hours at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Tuesday, December 21, from 4 to 7 P.M.
