Karen’s Obituary Karen L. (Washburn) Valley, age 78, of Hill City, MN, died Sunday, November 28, 2021, in Grand Rapids, MN. Karen was born in 1943 in Astoria, OR to John and Adeline (Bergeron) Washburn. She graduated from Hill City High School and made her home there. She loved the family atmosphere of the small town and had many life-long friendships with others in the community. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Valley of St. Petersburg, FL; son, Jason (Erin) Valley of Hill City; granddaughter, Paige Valley; great granddaughter, Everest of Hill City, sister, Patricia (Ronald) Daniels of Grand Rapids; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and her twin brother, Kenneth Washburn. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. A private burial will be at the Macville Cemetery, Hay Point, MN.
