Joseph’s Obituary Marlton, NJ- Joseph Francis Lessin entered into eternal life on October 31, 2021 in Marlton, N.J. Born on January 20, 1947, a son of Jan and Eileen (Britt) Lessin, Joe grew up in Chicopee, Mass. For the past 30 years, he was a resident of Delran, N.J. Joe graduated from Chicopee High School and Andover Institute of Business. He was employed by McKesson for 52 years where he was a manager of Information Technology. Joe served for six years in the Army National Guard. Joe is survived by three brothers Jan, Lawrence and his wife Anna, and Michael all of Chicopee, and a sister Mary Peczka and her husband Daniel of Clifton Park, N.Y. as well as several nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife and soul mate Jean and a stepdaughter Kim Laskey. Joe was an avid car enthusiast. He enjoyed taking rides in his red corvette, watching NASCAR races, and throughout his life working on cars. In his early years, Joe built cars for racing at Lebanon Valley Dragway. He particularly enjoyed his time at Wildwood, N.J. sitting in the warm sun by the ocean and attending classic car events. Joe was blessed with close, special friends, Anthony, Dan and Cindy, Dennis and Char, Lon and Lori, and girlfriend Thao. He often expressed how lucky he was to have these friends in his life. He was actively involved in his friends lives, travelling with them and always included in family celebrations. Joe enjoyed dining at Femmina’s, his favorite restaurant in Medford, N.J. There he was lovingly known as Uncle Joe to all of the staff and patrons. Joe took pleasure in sharing his knowledge of fine wines and introducing his family and friends to new wines. Joe will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by the many lives he touched. Calling hours for Joe will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 4p.m. to 6p.m. at Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee, MA. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 6, at 9a.m. at the funeral home. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10a.m. in Holy Name Parish, 94 Springfield ST., Chicopee, MA, with committal to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
