Obituary John Kelly McKeithan, 60, of Summerville, husband to Barbara Owens McKeithan, entered into eternal rest on December 13, 2021, surrounded by his family. Born on May 13, 1961, in Charleston, SC, Kelly was a son of Fred McKeithan and the late Fayne Donato. Kelly was predeceased by his first wife Patricia Deets McKeithan; his brother Thomas McKeithan and his nephew Charles McKeithan. Kelly was a Senior Engineer with Robert Bosch in Charleston, SC. Besides his wife, Kelly is survived by his parents Fred and JoAnn McKeithan of Pace, Florida; his son Jeff McKeithan (Melissa) and his grandchildren Hunter and Alan McKeithan all of Charleston, SC; brother-in-law Bill Owens (Amy) of Camden, SC; nephews: Jeffrey Curtis Owens of Charleston, SC and Will Owens (Tiffany) of Goose Creek, SC; nieces Amanda Calhoun (Spencer) of Prunedale, California, Elizabeth McKeithan of James Island, SC, and dear family friend Kim Merinkers Janecek of Hollywood, SC. The service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 5:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral and Cremation, 2501 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29414. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kelly’s memory may be sent to Hollings Cancer Center. Expressions of sympathy may be viewed or submitted online at www.mcalister-smith.com.
