Joseph Victor Panovec, age 88 of Joelton, Tennessee, died Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 3:00PM on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 with family officiating. Burial will be at 11:00AM on Wednesday January 5th in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 2nd from 1:00PM until the hour of service at 3:00PM. Mr. Panovec was born on February 13, 1933 in Easton, Pennsylvania to the late Victor J., Jr. & Mildred Sloyer Panovec. He was retired from the United States Navy (Seabee). After retiring from the Navy he became a school teacher in Robertson County. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Kyle Flad; brother, Gaylord Panovec; and son-in-law, David Heintzman. Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Panovec; children, Perry Panovec, Pam Heintzman, and Parker (Debbie) Panovec; and grandchildren, Kent (Colleen) Panovec, Lesa (Chad) Brown, Bryan Panovec, Grant Heintzman, Bryce Heintzman, Reagan (Austin) Brown, and Carson Panovec.
