Jimmy Dean Leonard 2021

2021
Obituary Jimmy “Tucker” Dean Leonard, a long-time resident of Wayne, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Jim was born on Thursday, November 17, 1960 in Roseburg, OR to Pat and Jacqueline Leonard, the third of their four children. He and his family mostly resided in Eagletown, Oklahoma throughout his youth until he graduated from Eagletown High School in 1979. He met Merri Blevins in Elk City, Oklahoma and fell head over heels. They moved around for a time like gypsies, going where the wind took them, then settled in Cape Coral, FL. Not long after, they celebrated the birth of their daughter, Alicia Donielle. The family lived in Cape Coral for a few more years and then eventually moved to Oklahoma to be closer to family. They lived in Purcell for several years and then settled in Wayne on a small piece of land that they made their own, where Jim and Merri spent the remainder of their years together, until Merri passed away in 2011. Eventually, Jim found companionship in Ann Henson, whom he has been with the last ten years. Jim was always self-employed, taking pride in his work laying tile and carpet all across the country. But Jim didn’t live to work, he worked to live. He was an avid biker and loved nothing more than being on his Harley on the open road. He loved a good party and always relished his time with close friends. One of his favorite things to do was spend time with his brother by choice and long-time best friend, PJ Parmalee. The two of them spent many years raising hell together. He particularly loved quality time with friends and family down in Eagletown, sitting around a campfire with a jar of moonshine while listening to Bill play guitar. He also loved entertaining friends and loved ones at home on the beautiful back porch that he built, especially on the 4th of July. When hosting at home, Jim could always be found manning his smoker and telling the same stories that we have all heard a million times, usually framed by his low and gruff laugh. One of his most unexpected favorite things was becoming a grandfather. He treasured spending time with Hanna and Jake, and of course, Alicia and Tucker. He was easily one of the best grandpa’s around and it always made his day when he got to hang out with the kids. Jim was preceded in death by his mother and father, Pat and Jacqueline Leonard and wife, Merri Letha Leonard. He is survived by numerous family members who are going to miss him deeply: daughter, Alicia Logsdon, her husband Tucker, and their children Hanna and Jake of Moore, Oklahoma; sister Debra Thomas and husband Norman of Elk City, Oklahoma; brother Paul Leonard and wife Valerie of Dayton, Texas; sister Rebecca Rosser and husband Gary of Elk City, Oklahoma; brother, James Wilmoth and wife Mikki of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother by choice not by blood, Phillip “PJ” Parmalee and wife, Sandy of Jefferson, South Dakota; and his girlfriend of the last ten years, Ann Hensen. Jim will also be missed by his massive group of friends including his biker family, work acquaintances, and strangers on the street both near and far.
