Obituary Jean Jordan Morgan, 100 years old, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, December 22, 2021 in Kingwood, Texas. Jean was born March 4, 1921 in the little community of Little Elm in north Texas to the late William Russell Jordan and Bertha Brazell and grew up on the family farm with her four brothers. On her birthday in 1940, Jean married James Robert Morgan, Jr in Dallas, a marriage that would last 65 years until Bob’s death June 1, 2005, in Athens, Texas. Much of Jean’s adult years would be spent in Dallas raising her two daughters and working for Republican National Life Insurance Company. Toward the end of their respective careers, Jean and Bob relocated to Athens where they spent many happy years in their beautiful log home by the lake. In addition to Bob and her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her brothers Warren Raydell Jordan, Wayne Edwin Jordan Sr, William Durward Jordan and Oren Kenneth Jordan all of Dallas. Left to cherish her memory is her two daughters Dovie Marie Morgan of LaGrange and Debra Jean Morgan Campbell (Rick) of Kingwood, and three grandchildren Courtney Jordan Campbell Igoe (Tim) of Milton, FL, Amanda Lee Campbell Carbuhn (Aaron) of Lawrence, KS and Jonathan Morgan Campbell (Monica) of Salzburg, Austria. Survivors also include Jean’s seven great grandchildren Blane Campbell Igoe, River Jean Igoe, Colt Everett Igoe, Karington Carleen Carbuhn, Makenna Lee Carbuhn, Elliot Marie Campbell and Nora James Campbell. Interment will be in the Morgan family plot at Restland Memorial Park’s Garden of Memories in Dallas, Texas with a private family ceremony. Read more
