Jason’s Obituary Jason Dewayne Wilkerson, 37, departed this earth on August 7, 2021, at Magnolia Regional Hospital in Magnolia, Arkansas from Covid. He was born on September 29, 1983 to Brenda Page Wilkerson and Larry Wilkerson. Jason and his mother lived most of his life with his grandparents Norman and Betty Page in Stamps, Arkansas. He was a 2001 Stamps High School graduate. His poem “The Light of Sight” was selected as a semifinalist and was published by the International Open Poetry Contest in a collection of poems entitled “The Silence Within”. Jason was currently employed by Allied Universal Security for Lockheed Martin in Camden, Arkansas. Jason was a very loving and kind person, rarely meeting a stranger. He enjoyed laughter, good food and being with his friends. Jason previously volunteered as fireman, EMT and a reserve deputy for Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Left to cherish his memory are aunts, uncles and several cousins and other relatives and friends; special cousin, Glenda Tatom of Stamps; and special friend, Heather Stanberry of Camden, AR. Graveside services will be held at Shiloh Union Cemetery on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. with Bro. Scott Jackson and Bro. Louis Page officiating under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes. Guest book signing will be open from 1:00 P.M. to 4:30P.M. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Masks are appreciated. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Brent, Thomas Fenske, Jason Smith, Wayne McKamie, Jordan Porter, Dusty Harris and Daniel Simmons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bodcaw Bank in Stamps and Stamps Fire Department. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and kindness and especially the Covid ICU team at Magnolia Hospital.
